It's Time for True Constitutional Recognition

Renowned Aboriginal activist and community leader Noel Pearson passionately argued for constitutional recognition and a First Nations Voice to parliament in the inaugural Australia Speaks address at the National Museum of Australia.

It’s Time for True Constitutional Recognition was delivered at the Museum on 17 March 2021.

Since it opened its doors in 2001, the Museum has provided a forum for public discussion and debate about issues at the heart of Australian society and culture.

Australia Speaks is a series of talks by eminent Australians exploring matters of national meaning and significance. It offers Australian audiences an opportunity to engage with big, bold ideas about the future of our country.
