We have two words to describe these native Australian birds: hungry muppets. That’s because each year they visit Sydney in huge flocks to noisily snack on pinecones all autumn.
These large and beautiful yellow-cheeked birds are found in South Eastern Australia along the coasts and like all parrots are protected by CITES.
