About the author

Joanne O'Callaghan made a buoyant debut as a children's author with her bestseller My Hong Kong, illustrated by woodblock print artist Ralph Kiggell. Her other books include The Swimmers and Found in Hong Kong, both beautifully illustrated by Kori Song, an award-winning Chinese artist. Following twelve years in Hong Kong, Joanne and her family moved to Melbourne. Found in Melbourne, illustrated by Kori Song and shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Awards, was the first in a series of counting books set in Australia that weave together themes of discovery, connection and belonging. It was followed by the successful Found in Sydney.

Kori Song's beautifully composed and observant illustrations reflect her interest in the relationship between cities and those who live in them. Kori graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, in Chongqing, China and she currently lives in the UK. Her books with author Joanne O'Callaghan include The Swimmers, Found in Hong KongFound in Melbourne and Found in Sydney. Kori loves Australia's wildlife, ocean pools and wide variety of cuisines. Her artwork has been shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2022 and selected for the Illustrator Exhibition at Bologna Children's Book Fair 2020.
