The Dreaming story of Five Islands is one of many freshwater and saltwater Dharawal creation stories that relate to the five islands clustered off the coast of Port Kembla, NSW. 

A simplified retelling of the story, illustrated with artwork created by the young people engaged in the Learning Club.

About The Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation

The Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal organisation dedicated to raising the esteem, pride and dignity of young Aboriginal people in their Aboriginal culture and heritage.

The Coomaditchie Artists' Co-operative is a vital part of their organisation, comprised of a group of Aboriginal people who love to paint and create artworks. They are East Coast Saltwater People and their work reflects the colours and images of their environment - the South Coast of New South Wales.

In addition to the Artists’ Co-operative, they provide employment and training for local community members.
