Bern Emmerichs

Bern Emmerichs’ practice focuses on the narratives of Australia’s colonial history: the European discovery and exploration of Australia, first contact and the early colonies. 

The artist has exhibited nationally and internationally and is represented in collections across Australia. Her work will be included in the National Portrait Gallery’s winter exhibition So Fine: Contemporary women artists make Australian history, opening 29 June 2018.
